Glenaeon 2022  Art Show Terms and Conditions

OVERVIEW

You are invited to exhibit your art works at the Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School’s Art Show. The Art Show runs from Friday 4th November – Sunday 6th November 2022.

Terms of Acceptance of Works

All artwork must be clearly marked with the entrant’s name, title of work, and price.

A short description of the art work may be added.

A short artist profile and photo of the the artist will be included if provided by the artist.

Display of Works

Works submitted should fall within the categories of painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture and applied arts/crafts (including ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, glass, textiles and metalcraft).

To enter, please read these Terms & Conditions carefully and complete the online Entry Form and forward to the Art Show Coordinator by Friday 7th October  AT THE LATEST together with clear, clean images of the works.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  • All works submitted must be recent (last 3 years) and be the entrant’s original work.

  • All entries must be for genuine sale.

  • Entry forms MUST be accompanied by images of the

    works submitted.

SELECTION OF WORKS

Entries will be selected with reference to the following:

  • a broad representation of artists from the local community, the school community, as well as from renowned or emerging artists from further afield;

  • a range of styles and mediums that will create interest and appeal to a diversity of tastes.

 

Not all entries submitted will be selected.

 

FEES AND COMMISSIONS

There is no entry fee but a commission of 25% will be retained on each sale. These proceeds will be used towards facilities at Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School. The Art Show is a fundraiser for the school, and the generosity of artists is greatly appreciated.

INSURANCE

Insurance or indemnity of Artwork is the responsibility of the artist. Organisers will exercise all reasonable care but will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any work while in their custody, or during transport.

TERMS OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORKS

TERMS OF SALE

The Glenaeon Art Show 2022 will be held in the Hall at the Castlecrag Campus.  Submitting artists have the option sell their art at a fixed price.  Further details can be found on the application form.

DISPLAY OF WORKS

Prospective purchasers will be able to view the curated Art from Friday Night 4th of November until Sunday afternoon 6th of November.  Interested parties have the opportunity to view and buy pieces during that whole weekend.

ONLINE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The quality of photography of your work is important.  Please observe the following:

​

  • Take photos in natural daylight if possible to ensure good colour rendering

  • Provide photographs in high quality jpg format at least 2000 pixels wide.

  • We recommend minimum 1 cropped overall photograph and 1 detail image for flat works, 2 photographs and 1 detail for three dimensional works.

  • All photographs should be renamed to the following convension prior to uploading please  Surname_Title.jpg (Add _1, _2, _Detail for consecutive images)  

 

eg: Smith_Golden Dawn_1.jpg or Smith_Golden Dawn_Detail.jpg

REPRODUCTION OF WORKS FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES

Artworks submitted may be reproduced for promotional purposes in print and/or online, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. If so, the artist and work will be properly acknowledged.

PAYMENT FOR SOLD WORKS

Artist payments for sold works will be made by Cheque. Please allow two weeks from close of show for processing.

​

COLLECTION OF SOLD WORKS

Any sold artworks will be collected by the buyer on Sunday 6th of November.

Any Artwork that hasn't sold need to be collected by the Artist during the week following the event.
